Meet the Staff
Kristy
Patient Coordinator
Kristy was born in Austin and grew up in the town of Manchaca. She has been in the dental profession since 2004 and started working with Dr. Mai in 2007.
As patient coordinator, Kristy introduces the new patients to our practice and assists Dr. Mai with the new patient exams. When patients are ready to start treatment, Kristy helps facilitate everything needed in order to start treatment and makes the patient feel comfortable in understanding their specific treatment plan.
What Kristy enjoys most about her job is the daily interactions with young patients and their parents. She loves watching the transformation of timid, shy smiles turn into big, confident, beautiful smiles!
Kristy lives in Kyle with her husband, Bryan, and their daughter, Adyson, along with their yorkie named Vince. They enjoy watching UT football, going to the lake, and hanging out with friends and family.
Stephanie
Assistant
Stephanie was born in Georgia, but was raised in Texas. She moved to Austin in 1992.
Stephanie has been working in the dentistry field (including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery and orthodontics) for 15 years. Dr. Mai and Stephanie have been working together since 2004.
As an assistant, Stephanie strives to make patients and parents feel at ease and comfortable throughout all steps of their treatment.
Stephanie and her husband have one son, Colby, and twin daughters, Madison and Abigail. They enjoy working out, swimming, kayaking, and outdoor activities together.
Alison
Scheduling Coordinator
Alison grew up in Corpus Christi and has been living in Austin for 13 years. She has been in the orthodontic profession for 5 years.
As scheduling coordinator, Alison coordinates and assists patients with scheduling, and any needs or questions patients may have. She strives to achieve excellent customer service and patient satisfaction with care and ease.
What Alison enjoys the most about her job is meeting new families and knowing patients will leave with a beautiful smile and new confidence.
Alison lives in South Austin with her husband George, and their son Braeden. They enjoy trying new restaurants, working out, sports, and spending time with family.
Mylissa
Assistant
Mylissa was born in Louisiana and moved to Austin in 2005. She lives in South Austin with her husband Jesse, and their three dogs Cooper, Tripp, and Mayce. They love going to UT basketball games and surfing on Lake Austin.
Mylissa has been in the orthodontic profession for 3 years. She loves to help make people smile, and meeting new people everyday. Her favorite part of her job is making patients have a stress free and fun time while in treatment!
